Rhythm Practice

A free beat timing drill in your browser. Notes fall onto the line in time with an original beat; press as each one meets the line. Accuracy, timing error and combo are recorded. No download and no account.

How it works

  • Press on the line. Space, F or J, or click the lane. On a phone, tap anywhere on the lane.
  • Clear judgement. Perfect within 50 ms, Great within 100 ms, Good within 180 ms; anything later is a miss. The windows are the same on every level.
  • No mashing. A press with no note nearby counts as an extra press, breaks the combo and lowers accuracy.
  • Three tempos. Easy 90 BPM, Normal 110 BPM and Hard 130 BPM; harder levels also add off-beat rhythms. One bar of beat plays before the first note.
  • Delay correction. Screens, Bluetooth headphones and touch screens add delay. A short tap test suggests a correction, or set it yourself.
  • Your records. Score, accuracy, Perfect rate, average early or late error and best combo, kept only in your browser.

Who it is for

Players who want to sharpen beat timing for rhythm games, musicians warming up their sense of tempo, and anyone who wants to see whether they tend to press early or late.

An independent practice drill with original synthesized sound. Not affiliated with any game or artist.
